From my understanding the engine was modified and fitted with taller valve covers likely to clear roller rocker arms some other speed mods. I assume these are GM originals part number 3916137 and 3902390 as it seems they were in storage before reproductions available. These covers to the best of my knowledge have been stored inside for quite some time, possibly since 199025-30 years. I purchased a very nice authentic 1st Gen big block Camaro in 2023.
I would think the condition is good because they were taken off and put up inside as indoor storage. The car had the L89 #842 aluminum heads on it with 375hp teach and air cleaner. However, these valve covers came loose with some other spare parts I was told belonged to the same car. What you see is what get.
