But the original seals and bolts come with this unit. I replaced both the intake and exhaust VVT valves. I used original Gm VVT valves, but not an GM Rocker Arm Control Valve. All the gaskets are in place, but should be replaced as they starting to harden.

I checked the valve for missing pieces that can come off and get stuck in camshaft cover. I didn't consider it was the issue but did anyway. There was no missing parts.

This cover had no leaks. Selling this used camshaft cover. 12658255 Camshaft Cover off my 2015 Chevy Malibu 2.5L. I changed the Valve Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve according to GM Special Coverage Adjustment - N192289160 Control Inoperative.

How you see it on the pictures is how came off engine. You should probably change the seals and bolts. The car was getting code P16D0 and doing research it can be three things. I went and purchased an original GM Rocker Arm Control Valve now the code is gone it runs perfectly fine.

The transmission wasn't shifting right. GM says to change this camshaft cover. This is clean inside with no sludge, etc. Installed the camshaft cover and code came back on.

The morale of this story is buy original GM parts and save yourself the hassle. Then I started getting some other codes for misfires. I dont have a wash bay and didn't clean it. If you didn't know.

This was replaced on my engine due to stupidity really. There was another code for the VVT valve being stuck shut.
