These are the updated composite valve covers. Some bolts have some corrosion on the zinc finish, but no damage to heads or threads. This coating is known to fail and flake off over time, falling into your engine delicate valve train components, or getting sucked oil pump screen. They rely on a coating inside the valve cover to seal and prevent seepage.

For certain high ticket items Removed from a 2004 Audi S4 Quarto with 4.2L V8 BHF engine and 6-speed 0A3 manual transmission. These are also less prone to leakage, as they fit more precisely and temperature stable. They are in good condition and have some visible scratches blemishes, mainly around where the ignition coils mount.

Mounting bolts are included. Gaskets are not included. The original magnesium valve covers fitted to these engines were a porous casting. All parts are cleaned, inspected, and tested on or off of the vehicle when applicable.
